Class Update

Well all good things come to an end and it's been a good ride! AZ Scrapbooking is now officially closed and Debi is starting her retirement. Congratulations, Debi!
That doesn't mean that there won't be crafting fun in Green Valley. The instructors will be teaching classes and having products to sell, so you can still come to classes and be able to create after the class is over! We have a classroom available to hold classes at the Earth School Wellness Store at the Green Valley Village across the courtyard from AZ Scrapbooking.

Mailing Tips

Here is a fun little tip that maybe will put a smile on someone's face. How would you like to get something fun in the mail for a change rather than another bill or advertisement?

Did you know you can mail anything that will take a stamp and weighs less than 13 ounces without a box? Why would you want to mail something awkward? An invitation to Christmas celebrated at the beach is far more exciting when you're mailed a pail and shovel!

Although it hasn't been a secret that's been kept by the postal system, mailing any item that's less than 108" in combined length and girth doesn't require a box or envelope. It's a small fee (depending on the size) but the possibilities are endless.

Here is a little sample list of some of the things that are just as easy to mail as it is to ship a standard package or crate. Just write the address clearly with a permanent marker or create a proper address label and adhere sufficient postage (dependent on how much the item weighs and where you are sending it to), and the USPS will literally mail it for you!

* box of candy

* flip flop

* inflated beach ball

* surprise in a bottle i.e. bottle of soda pop

* disposable camera

* plastic easter eggs

* frisbee

* bucket and shovel

Be sure to check out the internet and Pinterest for some other clever ways to send your gifts in a creative way. You can wrap things in toilet rolls, paper towel rolls, bottles, etc.

Creatively yours, Lynn
