Please Note

The tools in the work room are to remain in the store.  They can be used in the workroom or classroom.  Unfortunately, when customers are picking up their items before going home, sometimes store items get mixed in.  Most of the store items are marked.  Please check your supplies after a class or crop to see if you inadvertently have a store item.  Right now we are missing a blue EK Success rotary paper trimmer and a red, retractable piercing tool.  Thank you.

Holy Night by Kaisercraft

A lot of new products have been arriving weekly. Christmas paper from Kaisercraft and Graphic 45.  Lots of new dies and stamps. Stop in soon to see all the new products.

NEW Sizzix Precision Base Plate for Intricate Thinlits Dies

With the Base Plate, you can cut through many different materials - including burlap, craft plastic, fabric, aluminum, canvas, lightweight suede and thin cork.  The Precision Base Plae Allows most intricate Thinlits dies to be cut in a single pass through the machine.

The new generation of wafer-thin dies are getting more detail (think Tim Holtz).  The Precision Base Plate gives you an added advantage.  It's like cutting with scissors since you have metal cutting against metal.  You get a nice clean cut.  An added bonus - your clear plates will last twice as long.

New from Graphic 45

Stampers, why not start using stamped images on your scrapbook pages. This way you can use your stamps in multiple ways and create embellished effects. Check out these samples in the store using this technique. Anyone interested in classes, let Debi know.

Mailing Tips

Here is a fun little tip that maybe will put a smile on someone's face. How would you like to get something fun in the mail for a change rather than another bill or advertisement?

Did you know you can mail anything that will take a stamp and weighs less than 13 ounces without a box? Why would you want to mail something awkward? An invitation to Christmas celebrated at the beach is far more exciting when you're mailed a pail and shovel!

Although it hasn't been a secret that's been kept by the postal system, mailing any item that's less than 108" in combined length and girth doesn't require a box or envelope. It's a small fee (depending on the size) but the possibilities are endless.

Here is a little sample list of some of the things that are just as easy to mail as it is to ship a standard package or crate. Just write the address clearly with a permanent marker or create a proper address label and adhere sufficient postage (dependent on how much the item weighs and where you are sending it to), and the USPS will literally mail it for you!

* box of candy

* flip flop

* inflated beach ball

* surprise in a bottle i.e. bottle of soda pop

* disposable camera

* plastic easter eggs

* frisbee

* bucket and shovel

Be sure to check out the internet and Pinterest for some other clever ways to send your gifts in a creative way. You can wrap things in toilet rolls, paper towel rolls, bottles, etc.

Creatively yours, Lynn
