Retirement!

Time for a New Adventure

Susan will be taking over the newsletter.  Whenever you see that she will be having a class, then the store will be open for business during that time.  We still have some wonderful product to sell.

Send an email to azscrapbooking@hotmail.com if there are fixtures you need to pick up, and someone will make arrangements with you.  We have lots of pegboard for sale.

Watch the AZ Scrapbooking Facebook page.  Debi will post when she is in the store and you will be able to come in then.  You can shop or join Debi scrapbooking.

e-Mail Continuing

Susan will continue the e-mail - it will eventually become part of "Women with Scissors."  Classes will continue at the store and later at another location.  Please unsubscribe if you are no longer interested in receiving this e-mail.  Thank you.

Scrapbooking Store Recommendations

Many of you have commented about the lack of physical scrapbook stores, here or where you live at other times of the year.

Here are some recommended stores

Bluemoon Scrapbooking

Located in Tucson - 4808 East 22nd Street

877-885-1261 or 520-514-0400

This is an online store, but they do let you shop in the warehouse Monday-Friday.

there is a nice coffee shop next door.

Scrapbook.com

You get very quick service since they are located in Mesa.  Their facility is not open to the public.

Mailing Tips

Here is a fun little tip that maybe will put a smile on someone's face. How would you like to get something fun in the mail for a change rather than another bill or advertisement?

Did you know you can mail anything that will take a stamp and weighs less than 13 ounces without a box? Why would you want to mail something awkward? An invitation to Christmas celebrated at the beach is far more exciting when you're mailed a pail and shovel!

Although it hasn't been a secret that's been kept by the postal system, mailing any item that's less than 108" in combined length and girth doesn't require a box or envelope. It's a small fee (depending on the size) but the possibilities are endless.

Here is a little sample list of some of the things that are just as easy to mail as it is to ship a standard package or crate. Just write the address clearly with a permanent marker or create a proper address label and adhere sufficient postage (dependent on how much the item weighs and where you are sending it to), and the USPS will literally mail it for you!

* box of candy

* flip flop

* inflated beach ball

* surprise in a bottle i.e. bottle of soda pop

* disposable camera

* plastic easter eggs

* frisbee

* bucket and shovel

Be sure to check out the internet and Pinterest for some other clever ways to send your gifts in a creative way. You can wrap things in toilet rolls, paper towel rolls, bottles, etc.

Creatively yours, Lynn
